On this winter's night with you

A few weeks ago we got our first real snow of the winter. It's gone now, a victim of unseasonably warm weather, but while it was actively happening I ventured out with my camera and captured a few photos of Juno and her pasturemate Sienna. You'll find quite a few beneath the cut.

After a roll, Juno always gets frisky for about 0.2 seconds, and then it's over. You've got to capture the moment while you can. Same goes for photos of the horses with our barn cat, Awesome. You've got to get the shot in that split second between the horses getting curious and the horses scaring the bejeezus out of the cat.

Poor Awesome. He just wants to be loved. And petted. And maybe fed an entire cow.

This is my roommate Sharon's horse, Sienna. Sienna is a Percheron/Quarter Horse cross. She is made out of bigness and her body is 98% stomach. But as you can see, she's very beautiful and dignified.

She's a stately and serene creature. If she had a middle name, it would be "Poise." She... er...

What was I saying?
