My friends, I have important news. I have EPIC news. I bring you glad tidings: The Swell Season are returning to the US for a 2010 tour. I don't think I've written here before about what a Swell Season live show is like -- and I hesitate to let myself get too effusive for fear that you'll be expecting the second coming of John Lennon or something -- but if you don't know who the band are and you aren't sure if you'd like their music, you can find my previous roundup of videos, free downloads, and other goodies at my introduction to The Swell Season.
Anywho, they'll be playing in August at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, California, which is just south of Palo Alto. The venue looks incredible, the music is guaranteed to be incredible, I will be there somehow, and I would welcome company. Tickets go on sale April 26th at 10am, so if anybody's interested, perhaps organization is warranted so we can all sit and enjoy the life-changing music together?
They'll also be hitting the eastern US earlier in the year, and a bunch of other locations across the country, so check the schedule if you're too far away to join me for the Saratoga show. In the meantime, I'll sit here quietly and not at all dance in my chair. At. All.
